No information

To those people who have asked me, still no news from Leicester City Council about how much money has been spent on New College, in New Parks, over the past few years.

As I blogged some time ago, I submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act to find out the exact amount of Government and council cash was used on the school.

By law, organisations have 20 days to respond to a Freedom of Information request.

That ran out last Tuesday.

On Thursday I was assured by a director within the city council that I would have the figures on Friday. Apparently there was some information that was not included but should have been and this was the reason for the delay.

The information did not appear on Friday and it didn’t appear today either.

Tonight parents of children at Riverside College, in Rowley Fields, were due to meet people from that department of the city council to air their views on the closure of their school. It will be interesting to hear how they got on.
